Biography:
	Alfred W. Harris was born in Tremont, Illinois. He served in the Air Force during World War I rising to the rank of Major. He worked in Peoria before coming to Cleveland. He lived at 9797 Newton Avenue, later moving to 18624 Winslow Road. He was one of the favorite architects of the Van Sweringen brothers. His son, Alfred Wilson Harris, Jr. (1910-1997), was also an architect.
