  In 1917 he was working for the Austin Company as an architect. He is listed as an architect in Cleveland City Directories from 1923. He was a member of the firm of Best & Hoefler from 1923 until 1927, and in 1929 he was a member of the firm of Kalsch & Hoefler. He later worked as an engineer.
