Biography:

Otto K. Stapf was born in Pittsburgh. He was active as a Cleveland architect from 1905 to 1917. He designed residential and commercial buildings. A number of his houses were built in Lakewood. An article on his works appeared in the June 1912 edition of the "Ohio Architect, Engineer and Builder." The article noted that he was one of the pioneers in the use of reinforced concrete. It also featured several photographs of houses that he designed in Craftsman and Colonial Revival styles. In 1910 he lived at 1931 Northland in Lakewood and in 1920 at 1663 Northland in Lakewood. He moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1924 where he died in 1962.
