Southeast Case # SE 2020-012
Address: | 10612 Union |
Company: | City of Cleveland |
Architect: | TBD |
Description: | The City of Cleveland Demolition Bureau will demolish the 2 story, colonial style residential struc-ture, built in 1923 located at 10612 Union. This will be a complete demolition of the structure(s) per the City of Cleveland specifications.
The structure(s) has/have been condemned since January 08, 2019. The property was forfeited to the State of Ohio pursuant to a tax foreclosure on February 14, 2019. The previous owner, Frank To-bias, owned the property from January 30, 2008 to February 14, 2019, and did not make any efforts to redeem the property or bring it out of condemnation. It appears that this property has been va-cant since at least January 2013 when the property was boarded up. Since then, the City has re-ceived at least 5 complaints regarding the property, and has boarded it up on 3 separate occasions. There is an outstanding tax bill in the amount of $31,533.22 including $710.56 in board-up delin-quencies and $16,179.18 in grass cutting delinquencies. Councilman Bishop supports this demoli-tion.
This property contains blighted structure that is a nuisance and is continually using City resources to maintain. After the structure is razed, the remaining land will be cleared, graded, and seeded with grass. |
