Committee moved to recommend tabling action on the project design with the understanding that the project sponsors will submit a uniform set of corrected drawings that are reflective of what is intended to be built. Further, the Committee asked that the following recommendations be considered for inclusion in the modified final plans: (1) the addition of a minimum 1' projection from the current flat plane wall of the building's front facade so as to provide visual relief when viewed from Walworth Avenue; (2) a re-examination of the size of the second floor windows on the building's rear elevation so that they serve to better break up the mass of that facade; (3) substitution of an additional two gable roofs in place of the hip roof features depicted on the northwest and southwest ends of the Walworth Avenue elevaton's third floor; (4) better articulation of exterior material selection and placement; and, (5) further clarification of landscape material type and placement on the site. |
