Committee moved to recommend schematic design approval w/the understanding the project sponsors will: (1) modify the parking lot layout to accommodate the development of a 5'-wide sidewalk connector that would permit pedestrians/bicycles to safely travel from Steelyard Drive, along the east side of the Panda Express property, to the nearby Towpath Trail; (2) provde a painted, striped pedestrian connection that spans the parking lot, from the restaurant's patio to the aforementioned new Towpath sidewalk connector; (3) study the relocation of the depicted bicycle racks to the vicinity of the outdoor dining area on the east side of the restaurant building in closer proximity to the building entrances and Towpath connector: and, (4) provide detailed samples of proposed building materials/colors for the restaurant building and trash dumpster facility. |
