Committee moved to table action on the proposed sign design with the understanding the sponsor would submit a revised plan to include the following: (1) a maximum sign height of 15', measured from grade to the top edge of the sign face: (2) a reduction in the size of the sign face, from the proposed 6' x 12' (72 s.f.) dimension to no more than 4' x 8' (32 s.f.), with an 8' maximum length; and (3) adjustments to the sign's graphics to ensure greater text legibility, particularly a more prominent telephone number, larger text for the ".com" component, and removal of the car graphic and the term "Sales & Service" that appears in the blue-colored text.  Finally, as a long-term signage solution, the temporary banners that are in place on the Pearl Rd. and State Rd. building facades should be removed and replaced by permanent wall signage.
