Committee moved to approve the sponsor's proposed site plan that support's the property's conversion to a produce market as presented. This includes: (1) two striped parking spaces, (2) elimination of two existing Pearl Rd. curb cuts & replacement w/two new planter boxes constructed and painted to match exisiting planter box, and (3) removal of existing auto sale signs and replacement with permanent use-specific business identification signage to be submitted for review to the Near West Committee. The Committee further directed the applicant to install smaller planter boxes to border the permimeter of the striped parking area, to be planted with annual or perennial flowers. It was recommended that the two new large planter boxes along Pearl Rd. contain a variety of low-level, sun & drought resistant shrubbery like arbor vitae and mugo pine. |
