Proposed construction of a new 15,808 s.f. Aldi store and ancillary parking and site improvements on existing Outlot #3.  Site to be accessed via access drive to/from Steelyard Drive.  New Aldi builidng will be primarily a modular brick structure with storefront clear glass.  The architecture has been coordinated with the Steelyard Commons Tenant Architectural Design Guidelines.  Construction is projected to start during Spring 2013.

Committee moved to approve the project's building program, including footprint & placement on site, facade colors and materials, lighting,signage, landscaping and site layout with the understanding that:

1. A horizontal brick solider course w/ a 1-inch reveal be placed on the north, south and east elevations, in line with elevation of the building's awning canopy above grade.

2. Lighting fixtures featuring up and downlighting elements be placed on the pilasters located on the building's north, south and east elevations.

3. Metal sleeves be added to encase the 6 pre-cast concrete bollards located adjacent to the building's main entrance.

4. Provision be made to add a bike rack in the vicinity of the building's main entrance.

5. A widened sidewalk be constructed adjacent to the building facade along Steelyard Drive (east) frontage to accommodate the installation of one or more planter beds.
