| Description: | Construct a new 800 student, grades 9-12 Comprehensive Career Tech High School situated at the NE corner of West 65th Street & Clark Avenue in the Stockyards neighborhood. Site is immediately south of I-90 and the Michael J. Zone Recreation Center. Proposed building will be 165,228 s.f. in area situated on a 13-acre site. Total proposed parking capacity for staff & students will consist of 202 spaces, including ADA spaces. In addition, 54 bicycle racks will be provided. |

Committee moved to approve the project's building program, including footprint & placement, facade colors and materials, lighting, landscaping, and site layout w/the understanding the applicant will: 1. Seek guidance from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District on maximizing the use of green infrastructure design components. 2. Engage with the school population (students, teachers, administrators, etc.) in developing the final design concept/details for the project's campus identification sign, to be located at the corner of West 65th Street and Clark Avenue, which will be subsequently presented to the Near West DRC for final review & approval. 3. Commit to improving the pedestrian & cycling environment along the proposed bikepath, particularly in the area where it interfaces with West 65th Street and the planned location of the campus identification sign. Among the components to be explored include pedestrian-scale lighting, edge treatment along West 65th Street right-of-way, and coordination with the technical recommendations of the West 65th Street TLCI Plan. |
