Committee moved to table proposal to permit applicants to further study and refine the following issues: 1. Consider the use of restored or replacement brick material on the facade, above 10' level, as measured from street grade. 2. Removal of the mansard roof and installation of decorative awnings, to be placed above the upper floor windows and/or the first floor storefront windows. 3. Repositioning of the LED messag board to a lower area along the building's north facade so as to be more visible to pedestrians. 4. Removal of the 1-900-ELK-OHIO telephone number from the upper sign panel area, with possible inclusion on the proposed LED board on the building's north wall. 5. Elimination of the Elk & Elk business ID wall sign and LED message board from the building's south facade. 6. Reduction in the size of the Elk & Elk business ID wall sign on the building's north facade so as to make it more proportional to the size of the wall panel. 7. Use of a gray-colored background w/contrasting letters for the Elk & Elk business ID sign similar to that used on the nearby Maha's business ID sign. 8. Adjustments to the size and proportions of the upper and lower floor windows on the building's east (West 25th Street) elevation. |
