Description: | Construct new 1-story, 6,000 s.f. residential dwelling to serve as nursery facility for Providence House, Ohio's first crisis care nursery. New building will replace current non-compliant facilities that have been grandfathered under waivers that will expire by end of 2011. Project will be connected to one of the current facilities, Leo's House, located to the immediate north on West 32nd Street. The new nursery will provide code compliant sleeping rooms and bathrooms for up to 20 children ranging from infants to 10 years old. Infant activity space and staff workspace is also included. The adjacent building will continue to be used for staff workspace, daytime activities and meal peparation. The new basement will be used primarily for storing clothes, toys and care supplies. It will also house a small laundry room with staff break space. |

Committee approved the project's design, massing, materials pallette, landscaping and lighting with the understanding that the 6'-tall board-on-board fence on the property's south line extend no further streetward than the front of the existing two-story house located at 2084 West 32nd Street, and that the 42"-tall ornamental fencing along the front property line wrap around to meet the board-on-board fence. |
