Project details presented by Chris Lang, Kathy Sohnhalter, and Eric Herman from CPL, and Darrell Nelson, Jayme Schwartberg, Rob Donaldson, Jean McFarren from Moody-Nolan.  Presented details on the landscaping, updated site plan, updated building facade and materials, stormwater, ampitheather, pedestrian seating and walkways, lighting, parking, and building form.

• Curious about the proportions of the punch windows and how the windows will come together with the facade.
• Reconsider the color and pattern of vertical bands
• Reconsider how the main entrance is treated, seems to be getting lost.
• Is there a better location for the bike racks and book drop off

Motion to approve schematic design with the recommendation to study the front canopy and how the windows penetrate the facade, entrance treatment, punch windows, location of book depository, final location of bike racks, study the vertical color range, and enhancing the E. 65th walk thru with landscaping.

• Be mindful of the signage selections, they building is very successful and signage at odds with the design of the building can be detrimental.
• Be mindful of the glare of the low bollards vs. folx nearby in the seating areas
