Committee Questions, Comments, Concerns

  • Are there any demos required for the new parking lot?
  • Is the new lot going to accomodate the three new dwelling units along Itasca?
  • How many units are in the apartment building? 17
  • What is the intent to provide privacy for the residential structure?
  • Add wheel stops in the parking space to help to maintain the privacy fence and 4' walkway
  • May have to add rounded curbs and push the pier closer the sidwalk.
  • Careful selection of lighting because of the proximity to single family homes.
  • May need taller evergreen shrubs for the opacity the city is likely to require
  • May also need trees in the retention basin
  • Are not in favor of the chainlink and slates for the screening
  • Does the roof have to be replaced on the MF building?

Motion to approve with the condition to add wheel stops to the parking spaces, moving the columns away from the driveway, augment the landscaping to meet the city code, choose a different fence material for privacy, and cut off lighting so it doesnt spread to the residential properties.
