Committee Concerns, Comments, Questions
Lothario Marchmon is in attendance representing Famicos Foundation. He stated that Famicos would like to be more involved in the project and had not been involved to this point. He also stated that there was not a community meeting held for this project.
Councilman Conwell is in attendance representing Glenville and the Ward 9. Would like to pause the project to meet with the project team, Famicos, and the Councilman. Though the property is correctly zoned to allow for gas stations, the community has a different vision for Superior Ave based on the draft Glenville Masterplan and the land use plan from the Citywide 2020 plan.
Motion to table decision-making until the project team return with the requested items (enhanced landscaping, lighting studies for security, parking analysis for the front of the store, closing the most eastern cut on Superior, more windows on Parkwood elevation, painting the frame/shutter to complement the building and awning, add a placeholder for where the signage might be, and hold a meeting to obtain community input.) |
