The scope of the project was presented by Ayonna Donald, City of Cleveland -- Demolition Bureau.

 

Committee Concern, Questions, Comments

  • Is the building currently occupied?
  • Why did it take so long to get to the point of review for demolition?
  • Is there public money to encourage property owners to fix their buildings?
  • In general, the Committee would not want to see additional parking lots fronting on mainstreets.
  • How is the TIGER grant and TOD effecting the current demolition?  Should the Committee hold on making a decision until these initiatives can produce recommendations?

 

Councilman Kevin Conwell is available to provide support for the demolition and explain other development efforts along the corridor.

 

Motion to approve the demolition as presented voted by all members present.  Motion passed 5-2.
