The project for the Collinwood Athletic Complex was presented by Jim McKnight of the Mayor's Office of Capital Area Projects.  Proposed to develope a parking lot to support the Athletic Complex located just south of the Five Points intersection at E. 152nd & St. Clair Ave.  The City is in negotiations with the building owner located between the proposed parking lot and the athletic complex.  The building does have an easement for 20 of the parking spaces being developed in the proposed lot.  The aim is to be able to connect the athletic complex with the parking lot in the future.

Committee Comments, Questions, and Concerns

• Is there any connection to the site from the neighborhoods to the east?  Is some discussion about having the old rail road tracks turned into a connected walking or multipurpose trail.
• Where is everybody parking now?  Mostly on the street and also at the shopping plazas.
• Is there an irrigation system for the plantings? No, using natural water supply.
• Will there be signage or wayfinding to the stadium?  Nothing proposed at this time.
• Why doesnt the gate line up with a parking aisle?
• Discuss the pervious pavements.  The pervious pavements are located where there is no bioswale.
