Committee Comments/Concerns
Cm Polensek and NES was in attendance at today’s meeting. Per Cm Polensek, the currently presented site with access from E. 159th and Lakeshore Blvd makes the most sense for pedestrians and residents. The current setback allows people to see the arch as they are traveling west on Lakeshore Blvd.
NES would like the equipment to screen the mechanicals on the roof and some clarity on the color of the awning in the rendering vs the elevations. Motion to approve as final design with condition that the islands be greened, the awnings be aligned with the placement of the joints, and the awnings to match the renderings. Motion passed 5-1 (P. Brown)

There needs to be clarification about the arch as an impediment to truck traffic. Verify that trucks can get through safely under the arch and approaching the arch. |
