Commended as appropriate, including the removal of trees on East 9th Street. Recommendations: rethink the use of London Plane trees on Superior: silhouettes on fence should be removed; use 3 ft. fence height if allowed for liquor permit; encourage use of pedestrian signage, trash receptacles, and urged to give strong consideration to use of fixed benches on Walnut and Superior. Finish of the concrete should be done with care - include micafleck or pressure washing, instead of just plain stamped concrete. Look at choice of trees in general. Suggest Lindens on Superior, and Pears on Walnut. Can go to staff for Final Approval. |
