OHIO CITY HISTORIC DISTRICT – DETROIT LOFTS – 2820 DETROIT AVENUE Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the renovation of the former industrial space into a residential complex. The applicant will seek historic tax credits and will complete the project according to Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. WITNESS DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION The Ohio City Design Review Committee recommended approval of the building renovation, as submitted. TESTIMONY ACTION LITTLE ITALY HISTORIC DISTRICT – KELLER ART GLASS STUDIO – 2151 MURRAY HILL ROAD Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the storefront renovation of this two – story brick commercial building. Work will include rebuilding parapet, resetting brick drive pavers, rebuilding balcony, replacement of existing awning, replacement of glass windows, rebuilding bulkhead with MDO and Cedar, the replacement of first and second story doors, and painting. WITNESS DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION The Little Italy Design Review Committee recommended approval of the storefront renovation plans, as submitted. TESTIMONY LITTLE ITALY HISTORIC DISTRICT – TADDEO BUILDING – 12201 MAYFIELD ROAD Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the storefront renovation of this three-story white glazed brick commercial building. Work will include reconstruction of façade with new glazed brick similar to current brick, replacement of steel lintels at window openings, removal and reattachment of existing roof flashing, demolition and rebuilding of existing porch and bulkhead, repair and painting balcony railing, new awnings over second and third floor windows, and replacement of storefront windows. WITNESS DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION The Little Italy Design Review Committee recommended approval of the storefront renovation plans, as submitted. TESTIMONY TREMONT HISTORIC DISTRICT – MERRICK HOUSE – 1050 STARKWEATHER AVENUE Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the installation of a pole sign for the Merrick House. The proposed sign will be three feet high, by four feet wide, and will be mounted at 7 feet to the bottom. WITNESS Kevin Dreyfus – Wells DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION The Tremont Design Review Committee recommended approval of the sign, as submitted. TESTIMONY |
