OHIOCITY HISTORIC DISTRICT – 1740 WEST 38TH STREET Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a two-story, vinyl sided home.
WITNESS- David Merriman (Owner)
DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION -The Ohio City Design Review Committee recommended approval of the new construction, as proposed.
MARKET SQUARE HISTORIC DISTRICT – THE GARAGE BAR – 1859 WEST 25TH STREET Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the installation of signs for the Garage Bar. The Commission had tabled any action on the signs until the applicant had revised plans to reflect what was being proposed.
WITNESS -Jeff Allison (Tenant)
DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION - The Ohio City Design Review Committee recommended approval of the signs, with the condition that the sign on the north elevation is reduced in size and that the arrow and the main body of the sign were more integrated.
OHIO CITY HISTORIC DISTRICT – BOUNCE NIGHTCLUB – 2900 DETROIT AVENUE Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the installation of new windows on the Detroit Avenue elevation. The Commission had tabled any action on the windows until there was clarity on hours of operation, details on the window and sign installation.

DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION -The Ohio City Design Review Committee recommended approval of the windows, as presented.
BROADWAY HISTORIC DISTRICT – 3283 EAST 53RD STREET Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of Our Lady of Lourdes Convent. The convent has been vacant for several years. Sandvick Architects has completed a feasibility study of the adaptive reuse of the Convent for housing two years ago. The church has tried to market the property, but has had no takers.

DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION - The Slavic Village Design Review Committee recommended approval of the demolition.
